Algoma Family Services Foundation has made a commitment to Algoma Family Services to provide much needed funding for the delivery of early intervention and prevention programs. One in five youth in Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma District struggle with their mental health. Your donation will help to resource mental health programs for children, youth and families that would otherwise not be available through provincial funding. 15,000 people live in poverty in Sault Ste. Marie and 1 in 5 families can’t afford access to basic recreation. Donations to the YMCA provide an opportunity to send children from Sault Ste. Marie and area to camp, help a child from a priority neighbourhood learn to swim, support seniors or give parents peace of mind knowing their children are in a safe place while they work. The YMCA supports all ages and stages. No one is turned away from the Y.
